March :
Ars Musica Festival, Brussels, première of Obstinatissimo, concerto for viola, by
the Ensemble Musiques Nouvelles under the direction of Jean Thorel; soloist: Dominica Eyckmans.
Commissioned by the Ensemble Musiques Nouvelles
2005 :
In collaboration with the Trio Fibonacci, launch of the CD Chants de l’Inaudible, with the Cyprès label.
Première of Caméleons for youth orchestra at the International Meeting of Young Composers, Cergy
Pontoise, France. Commissioned by the Conservatoire of Cergy Pontoise.
2004 :
December, première of Pyrofolies for piano trio (violin, cello and piano) by the Trio Fibonacci, ensemble-in-
residence at the Chapelle historique du Bon-Pasteur, Montreal, Canada.
2003 :
March, première of Rondo Fractal for flute, saxophone, percussion and piano, commissioned the ensemble
Proxima Centauri (Bordeaux), Ars Musica Festival, Brussels.
2002 :
December :
- Denis Bosse Portrait Concert at the Espace Senghor (Brussels)
- première of Lettre à Pierre Bartholomée for ensemble of 18 musicians. Commissioned by the
Ensemble Musiques Nouvelles for its fortieth anniversary.
October :
- première of Corymbes pour Flagey commissioned by the Maison de la Radio Flagey in Brussels for
guitar, piano, accordion, violin and double bass.
Ensemble Soledad.
- Commission of a work for string quartet and accordion for the Danel String Quartet.
June :
Third prize at the Gustav Mahler International Competition in Klagenfurt (Austria)
for the work By a ryhzome for ensemble with two soloists. Premièred by the Janus ensemble of Vienna
under the direction of Christoph Cech.
2001 :
Composition of circus music commissioned by the Ecole Supérieure des Arts du
Cirque de Belgique on the occasion of an international circus arts congress.
2000 :
December :
Denis Bosse Portrait Concert given by the Ensemble Musiques Nouvelles, including the première of Zoomed
Zones for ensemble under the direction of Pierre Bartholomée
August :
Participation as invited guest at the International New Music Meetings of the Nouvel Ensemble Moderne in Saint-
Irénée, Quebec, Canada.
January-August :
Residency in Montreal with the Nouvel Ensemble Moderne and the Atelier de Musique Contemporaine
of the University of Montreal, directed by Lorraine Vaillancourt; première of three new works: the sextet
Les chants de l’Inaudible, Liances for solo piano, and a chamber concerto entitled Each of them,
commissioned by the French state.
