The Danish audience will meet Nordic music by young composers at the Esbjerg Ensemble concert on September 9th. From the RE:NEW MUSIC repertoire pool Esbjerg Ensemble will perform Kuule II  by the Finnish composer Lotta Wennäkoski and Landscape With Ruins by Norwegian Eivind Buene.  Both composers will be working closely with the ensemble during the rehearsals, which takes place in Esbjerg, the hometown from which the ensemble has taken it’s name. The concert however takes place in Copenhagen, as it is a part of the grand festival Nordic Music Days. September 9 at 19:00, Copenhagen.

Wennäkoski’s Kuule is written for sinfonietta and bass clarinet, and the concert will feature Heikki Nikula as bass clarinet soloist.

The programme is part of a whole evening of nordic music in the heart of Copenhagen with The Peärls Before Swïne Experience, Esbjerg Ensemble, George Kentros and Mattias Petersson and Rikhardur H. Fridriksson:
