 Postcards from Europe is given over to the work of contemporary composers from across Europe, and the results of London Sinfonietta’s partnership with the European Union’s Re:New Music Project. In this event, London Sinfonietta will perform two very attractive and exciting pieces by French composer Régis Campo and the Finnish composer Osmo Tapio Räihälä in the presence of the composers. The programme also includes some of the set of Sinfonietta Shorts - solos and duets written as 'musical birthday cards' for the London Sinfonietta in 2008. September 9th at 19.15, London.

London Sinfonietta at King's Place Festival, Thursday 9 September 2010, 7.15pm-10.30pm

Kings Place Festival is a dazzling array of 100 performances over four days. The London Sinfonietta presents three 45 minute long concerts showcasing contemporary and modern chamber music from the 20th and 21st centuries. Stravinsky and Adès provide the focus for concerts at 7.15pm and 8.30pm, followed by a final concert at 9.45pm exploring works by contemporary composers across Europe.
