Biography

Gerald Resch, born in Linz, Austria, in 1975, studied composition
with Michael Jarrell at the University of Music, Vienna, from 1993-2000
as well as Sciene of Music. A scholarship at the music university
Cologne, where he worked with York Höller, stimulated the Resch's
interest for working with organic sound sculptures. 2001-2002 Gerald
Resch was postgraduate-student of Beat Furrer in Graz which was an
important experience for the developing of musical economy. 2003-04 he
was student at the Institut for electroacoustic composition (ELAK)
Vienna. Since 2004, he is teacher for musical analysis at the Anton
Bruckner Privatuniversität Linz, since 2008 in addition to this teacher
for harmony, counterpoint and ear training at the Universität für Musik
und Darstellende Kunst Vienna.

The compositions of Gerald Resch
have been performed in Austria (a.o. Salzburger Festspiele, Wiener
Konzerthaus, Musikverein), Germany (a.o. Konzerthaus Berlin),
Switzerland, Czech, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Luxemburg, The Netherlands,
France, Japan, South America and USA.
