Biography

composer and music theorist; b. on 11th September 1971 in Gdynia. She studied music theory (degree in 1996) and composition with Franciszek Woźniak (degree in 1999) in the Music Academy in Gdańsk. She took part in the workshops of the Summer Academy of Early Music in Wilanów (1992-93) and International Workshops of Contemporary Music in Gdańsk (1996-2000). Her compositions have been performed, among others, at Gdańsk Music Festival, Audio Art Festival - Sound Spaces Project in Warsaw, and the Sound Perspectives for the Screen (Bydgoszcz). Since 1998 she has taught theoretical subject in the Secondary Music School in Gdynia. She is also a music journalist. She collaborated with the Polish Television inj Gdańsk, and currently contributes to the "Glissando" and "Ruch Muzyczny" magazines. Since 2006, she has held the post of President of the Gdańsk Branch of the Polish Composers' Union. She is the initiator and organiser of the concert cycle "New Sound from Gdańsk"
